DIRECTOR - MARKETING, DESIGN, NEW PROJECT DEV.
Brian Harper grew up as a skateboarder and snowboarder in Flagstaff, Arizona. His deep history and experience in action sports spans from being a pro snowboarder, to owner of a chain of retail skateshops called AZP, and also being Camp Director at two separate skate camps. He also helped start one of the most respected and recognized skatepark design firms in the country called Site Design Group, which is still thriving today.
While building some of his skate projects he met and worked alongside John Tyson at John’s then company called VPI. It was there where Brian and John would embark on one of their most exciting projects ever, building and designing all of the X Games courses across the world.
In 2007, Brian and John joined forces with Joe Ciaglia from California Skateparks and formed a new division called CA RampWorks. As Director, Brian has overseen all aspects of the business including new projects and business development, designs, marketing and some of the most memorable projects in skateboarding history, including Danny Way’s ramp over the Great Wall of China, and reinventing skate contests with the creation of temporary concrete bowls and street courses.
One of Brian’s newest ventures is called CA Productions, an event company that manages, creates and organizes all aspects of events and contests in the action sports industry. Brian started CA Productions with long time friend Jeff Jewett, and together CA Productions is already one of the most trusted management companies in the industry.
Brian considers himself very fortunate to have found a career in skateboarding and never takes one day for granted.
